FOSA’s Dig Once Policy: 16 State Models paper referenced by McKinsey & Company

FOSA praised new regulations going into effect from the Federal Highway Administration implementing “Dig Once” policies. Opportunities to install fiber optic cable will be more broadly publicized when highway rights-of-way are opened through construction.

FOSA Chairman Kent Wardley’s March 26, 2021 letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg making recommendations for the Biden Administration’s infrastructure proposal.

FOSA wrote Secretary Buttigieg: “FOSA recommends that the Transportation Department track, in a publicly available format, the availability and location of ‘fiber-enabled’ interstate roadways.

FOSA filed comments with the Federal Highway Administration on its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) regarding Broadband Infrastructure Deployment and Dig Once rules.
